Causes and Consequences, University of Chicago Press, Chicago. Resume Sun Lijian, Associate Professor of finance in China Center for Economic Study, Fudan University, was born in Shanghai in 1962. He also is the Executive Deputy Director of Stock Investment Research Institute, the editor of World Economic Forum, part-time researcher of Fudan Finance Research Institute, part-time researcher of International Joint Research Center of Hitotsubashi University (Tokyo, Japan) and also an Honor Professor of Sydney MBA Institute of Shanghai University. In 1984, he got his Bachelor degree in Tongji University with his major in Structural Engineering. During Apr. 1993 and Mar. 2000, he pursued his post-graduate and doctor in Hitotsubashi University (Tokyo, Japan) and got his Ph.D. of Business in Mar. 2000. After returning to China, he becomes a professor of Fudan University. Prof. Sun Lijian focuses his research on Comparing Financial Systems, Corporate finance, Micro-foundations of International Macroeconomics, Asset Pricing Approach to Capital Markets, and Strategic International Financial Policy. He gives the lecture of microeconomics for MBA, Financial Markets, Financial Time Series Analysis for undergraduate and graduate students. In 2001, he was awarded Fudan KMPG Teaching Price. In 2003 he won the 2nd price of excellent academic thesis for Shanghai Dengxiaoping theory research, as well as the 3rd price of excellent thesis for the 7th Shanghai philosophy and sociology thesis. Besides his lectures, Professor Sun Lijian spends all his time in academic research. During his doctor research, He published many papers, including “The Economics of East Asia Currencies Crisis”(1998), “Financial Fragility and Currency crisis”(1998) and other papers. After he came back to China in Nov. 2000, he has published over ten papers in many domestic authoritative and central magazines, including Economic Research Journal(ranking No.1), China Economic Quarterly, Journal of Financial Research, The Journal of World Economy, Management World, etc. At University of Chicago Press (Chicago), he also published the English paper: “How were capital inflows stimulated under dollar peg system? ”(with E.Ogawa) in Ito and Kruger eds.’ book, titled by Regional and Global Capital Flows: Macroeconomic Causes and Consequences (2001). Financial Economics, the textbook he wrote, which shows the development trends of modern finance, was published in August 2004 by High Education Press. Since 2001, he has charged several projects, including “Fifteenth Plan” of Education Department, Research Base Project of Education Department and National Post-Ph.D. Fund Project.
